Turku Future Developer 2014 Startup Competition

What is this about?

Turku Future Developer is a startup competition for new upcoming companies under five years of age with fresh business ideas. The goal is to find the next success story from Turku and to make it well known.

How do I participate?

The competition starts on September 4th. You can participate by sending a 60 second video of your idea to convince us why your idea is a potential future success story. The video should be in English or with English subtitles. Try to include your business problem and the solution to it, your overall market potential and your team’s superb capabilities. The video should not be a product demonstration, and all information must be truthful.

The videos will be published on our website and in the social media. The competition committee will select a maximum of five finalists, taking into consideration the number of social media likes/comments, for example. The link for downloading the video (e.g. www.dropbox.com) along with your team’s contact info must be emailed to the committee at turuntulevaisuudenkehittaja@gmail.com by October 17th (extended deadline). Participation is free of charge.

All the competition finalists will have an opportunity to tell more about their idea at the Turku Developer event on November 7th at Restaurant Mauno. The five finalists will receive two tickets to the event (value €190) and the opportunity to pitch their idea to the audience at the evening party.
